Mindfulness is a way to live your life as if it really mattered.

Dropping In: An Introduction to Mindfulness

Studies have shown that mindfulness skills help people reduce stress, manage difficult emotions, shift self-defeating thoughts and habits, improve memory and focus, and cultivate empathy, self-compassion, and resilience. Join this 90-minute workshop to learn what people are talking about when they talk about “mindfulness,” how to do it, and how to make it work for you.

We will introduce the essential framework of mindfulness, practice a few exercises together so you can embody your understanding of the skills, and save a few minutes for Q&A at the end.

This workshop is designed for beginners, so no knowledge or experience is necessary coming in, but each attendee will leave with the skills to begin building a new relationship with the present moment. You can sign up for yourself or offer this workshop as a lovely gift for someone else; just enter their email address at checkout and they will receive details and access to the link.

Jon Kabat-Zinn, who was part of the movement to bring mindfulness from Eastern philosophy into Western mental health, describes what mindfulness is.
